Each company sells through intermediaries - for example through Macys and Bloomingdales. But they also sell through their own Coach and MK stores. They compete against each other fiercely for share of the woman's wallet for handbags - and even for some of the men's wallet for gifts to women @ Amazon - doesn't go through intermediary, directly to consumers.
