Maxillary Bone

Also known as the mustache bone, Attaches laterally to the zygomatic bones. Forms the anterior medial and medial inferior portion of the orbit. Also articulates two of the cranium: the frontal and ethmoid seven of the face: the nasal, lacrimal, inferior nasal concha, palatine, vomer, and the adjacent fused maxillary bone.

Mandible Body

Curved horizontal portion of the mandible. created by the symphasis of two bones.

Palatine Bone

Either of two irregularly shaped bones that form the back of the hard palate and helps to form the nasal cavity and the floor of the orbits. It is situated at the back part of the nasal cavity between the maxilla and the pterygoid process of the sphenoid.

Mandible condylar process

Forms the condyle for the Temporomandibular joint; Hinge of the mandible. This process is the most posterior process on the ramus.

Infraorbital foramen

Located inferior to the orbit, near the maxilla zygomatic process, this foramen transmits the _ artery, vein, and _ nerve.

Zygomatic Bone

Paired bone, cheek bones, makes up the lateral margin of the eye socket.

Mandible coronoid process

Provides for attachment of the temporalis. This process is the most anterior process on the ramus.

Vomer Bone

Shaped like the blade of a plow, it forms part of the nasal septum along with the perpendicular plate of the ethmoid at the base of the nasal septum. Forms most of the nasal septum and is considered an unpaired bone. Articulates with the sphenoid, the ethmoid, the left and right palatine bones, and the left and right maxillary bones.

Lacrimal Bone

Small fragile bone making up part of the anterior medial walls of each orbital and providing room for the passage of the _ ducts for tears. Articulates with the frontal, ethmoid, maxilla and inferior nasal concha

Mandible rami

The perpendicular portions of the mandible, with two processes ,the coronoid and condylar

Inferior Nasal Concha

Thin curved bones protruding medially from the lateral walls of the nasal cavity; serve the same purpose as the turbinate portions of the ethmoid bone. Extends from maxilla

Nasal Bone

Two oblong bones forming the bridge of the nose. Articulations with the ethmoid, frontal, and maxilla bones.

mandible mental foramen

located on the anterior surface of the mandible and permits the passage of _ nerve and vessel.

Mandible Bone

only movable facial bone, lower jaw, supports lower teeth; includes: Mandibular condyle, Coronoid process, Alveolar arch

Temporal process of the zygomatic bone

projects posteriorly & articulates with the zygomatic process of the temporal bone forming the zygomatic arch
