Medicine is not an exact science; doctors cannot always diagnose correctly; lack of equipment, improper treatments, care being unavailable, unable to afford care, and fear are among the factors here

Wellness/health

The combined state of your social, emotional, and physical well being; also associated with one's quality of life

Optimum health

The state of wellness characterized by peak physical, mental and social well - being; the goal is for you to attain optimum health and maintain it. To make the necessary changes in your life to enjoy a full life today and tomorrow.

Heredity

These factors are beyond your control. The genes you received from your parents dictate bod build, structure, and health concerns ; you cannot change your genetic makeup, but you can make choices that may lower your risk

Physical Health

This refers to the fitness of your body; for your body parts to work in harmony. Some factors that have a negative effect on your physical health include: lack of exercise, poor diet, not enough sleep, hygiene, eating too much or too fast, excess stress, poor sanitation, reckless actions, abusing alcohol, smoking/dipping

Poor environmental quality

This refers to the state of the physical world around you. It relates to the safety of the water you drink, the air you breath, the food you eat, and exposure to the elements

Social Health

This refers to the way you get along with other people; learning to resolve conflict is an important skill to develop; it is related to the understanding and acceptance of roles. People have different role expectations for sons, daughters, husbands, wives, mothers, etc. We all have several roles that we juggle every day. It is important to understand the expectations associated with each and learn the appropriate behavior for each.

Mental Health

This refers to the way your feel about yourself, your life, and the world around you; irrational fears, stress and depression may be signs of mental health issues; building effective communication and problem-solving skills

A death that occurs due to lifestyle behaviors that lead to a fatal accident or the formation of an otherwise avoidable disease

Quality of Life

A person's satisfaction with his or her looks, lifestyle and response to daily events. when you are in good health, you are up to the challenge of each day; when you are not in good health every day become difficult to manage - causing a decrease in the quality of life

1. Learn how to use good communication to resolve conflict with others 2. Seek and lend support to people who need your help 3. Build a positive self-image
