Catholics feared that they were the spiritual lenemy within and had the potential to destroy Catholicism

What rights had they been granted?

E.G. to educate children in Huguenot schools, to marry according to Huguenot rites, to have posts in the army, the legal profession and medicine

French Protestants- minority of fewer than 2m subjects (out of a population of 18m-19m)
