The Northeastern region now has some of the leading hospitals and medical schools. This has lead to a grow in biotechnology. Biotechnology is the application of biology in industries. Some examples of biotechnology are pharmaceuticals and genetic engineering. As you can see, industrialization has changed drastically over the years.

This region faces a decline in factories and available jobs. Megalopolis also has crowded schools and lacks services. Farmland is beginning to be taken over by housing. Pollution is beginning to grow and sewage disposal has become a problem. An increase in population has also affected many things.These are just a few problems that Megalopolis has.
