How a car works
Fuel
A burnabke substance that is used to run engines by fuel pumps and injectors or on old cars carburetors and no fuel pump most of the time
Distributor
A device that tell each spark plug when to ignite the cilender
indicator
A divorce that is able to flash a light to indicate that your turning
Washer pump
A electric motor that has impellers on it that causes it to paddle the water down a line and make water spit onto your windshield
Electric fan
A electric motor with a blade on it that blows cool are onto the radiator and cool the water witch then cools the engine
starter
A electric motor with a gear that spins the motor until your car is making enough sparks in order to make the engine run on its own
current
A flow of electric charge.
headlamp
A light to see with in the dark
Radio aerial
A series of circuits that use metal to gain signal for a radio then sends it to the radio of the car and then the radio sends it to the speakers and you can rock out to music as loud as you want until your ear drums or speaker or radio blows
Fuse
A wire that if to much power goes through it will go pop cuases a open circut until the owner buys a new fuse and replaces it
Pressure
Amps
Heated rear window
Basically a fuse using a defroster wire that turns hot then the ice or snow will melt or sometimes it will burn away the water if it stays on for to long
Positive
Feeds the electrical system
Fuel tank
Holds fuel
Fit
It means that it will go. In a spot and not have any issues
Fuse box
Just a box with a hole bunch of wires wrapped in plastic that if to much power goes through it it will create a light for a second and get hot then the wire will melt and your electronic won't work until you buy a new fuse to put in the fuse box
Windshield wiper motor
Just a motor with a transmission for reverse and forward on it so it can go back and forth on your windshield
Heater
Most of the time it's a mini radiator that blows the hot air inside the cabin of the car
Polarity
One way flow of electricity
Ignition
Sends a large amount of power to a spark plug to create a spark and make the car go vroom vroom
switch
Sets the polatity of the power
wiring diagram
Shows how the wires are wired (direction of wire)
Energy
the ability to do work
Battery
Used for starting your car or using electronics when your car isn't started
Alternator
Used to run the car and the electronics and maintain the battery at a full charge
Short circuit
When the wire become broken or melted
Ignition switch
Tells the car when to ignite itself and go vroom vroom unless it has a General Motors label on it
Battery voltage
The current amount and if it drops then your electronics may not work
Resistance
The item that resists the flow of electricity and is measured in ohms
Battery
The power source
