"Wait. Isn't that the Vine guy?" you may ask. Correct. That man makes music and it is amazing. This song is one of my favourites. It is basically the guy singing about how he wants to be alone and escape some of the things he is dealing with at the moment. "I just wanna watch the birds go by/from my handy foldable blue canvas throne/I wanna watch them fly and fly/and see them soar off into the unknown/but I'd feel just like a nerd, watching birds, watching me here all alone"

"Fine!" - Mal Blum

A cute little song about the singer breaking up with someone and telling herself that she will be fine, even though she probably won't be. "And I could not be/I could not be making that much sense/but I'm getting it all out/and I hear that's the first step to being fine"

"Kindergarten" - Chloe Moriondo

About having a love for someone and knowing it is ridiculous but still falling for them more and more as you go. It is beautiful. The music video is...unexpected to say the absolute least. "Night Knuckles" - Cavetown

Another early Cavetown song, so it is extremely sad and such. "Don't tell me it's fine/don't tell me I'm wrong/because the faker the hope/the more painful the song" "In the night/when the sky/looks like knuckles/in my eyes"

"Rain" - Ben Platt

"Michael in the Bathroom" - George Salazar (Be More Chill)

I fell in love with musicals, and now they are kinda an afterthought in comparison to my other music. This one is on my downloaded playlist tho. It is about Michael going to a party, and while there, his former friend Jeremy insults him because Jeremy is "cool now" and Michael goes in the bathroom and flips. "I can't help but yearn for a different time/and I look in the mirror/and the present is clearer/and there's no denying/I'm just Michael in the bathroom/Michael in the bathroom/at a party/is there a sadder sight than/mmmmmm mmmmmm mmm mmmmm mmmmm mmmmmmm/Michael in the bathroom at a party/this is a heinous night"

"Idle Town" - Conan Gray

I have no idea what this song is about. Like, no clue. But I love it so I am putting it on here. "despair" - leo.

I just discovered this song, so I dunno entirely how I feel about it. It's kinda sad but it is upbeat. It is (maybe) about a person in denial that they are in love with someone and that they won't acknowledge it at all that they love them. "Cause it's not romantic, I swear/I'm not gasping for air/I want you to be here/But please don't come near/'Cause even though I'm pretty sure my head's exploding/I'm not ready for hand-holding/It's not love, I swear/It might be closer to despair"

"still feel." - half alive

I literally found this song yesterday, so I am still trying to figure it out. It has a lot of 70's pop influence and some electro stuff also. It is about a person not feeling like himself, like he is detached from who he is (I think, but I literally found it yesterday). "I can feel a kick down in my soul/And it's pulling me back to earth to let me know/I am not a slave, can't be contained/So pick me from the dark and pull me from the grave"

"Coffee Breath" - Neoflesh

I think that this song is about a breakup?? I dunno but I like it. "And I watched you break/Like glass, you shatter/Said it's my mistake, I make things harder/So I tried my best/To shut my mouth/But all the thoughts I hid, dug their way out"

"Share Your Address" - Ben Platt

In a nutshell, it is about Ben or whoever the person singing is rushing a relationship because they are so deeply amoureuse with the person they are singing to. It is a fun, upbeat, passing-period song. "I wanna be your emergency contact/You can put me down/'Cause you know I know you best (I know you best)/It doesn't matter where I go/Without you, I'll never be home/I wanna share your address"

"Talk to Me" - Cavetown

It's Cavetown's early stuff, so it's really dark because he was dealing with some seriously bad problems. However, the song is really good. It is just basically him telling someone that he is always there for them and that they can talk to him whenever they need. "It's so dark tonight/but you'll survive/certainly/it's alright/come inside/and talk to me" "I'll be here until you're okay"

"Older" - Ben Platt

This is the guy that played Evan Hansen in the OBC recording of Dear Evan Hansen. He has a beautiful and rugged and wonderful voice. He released an album called Sing to Me Instead a while ago, and I just recently fell in love with it. This song is about thinking about your past regrets and looking to the future at the same time. This song is a person in love with another person and writing a song about it. Yes, it is a TikTok audio. No, I am not ashamed. Some pretty good songs have made their way onto TikTok. "I've met someone that makes me feel seasick/what a skill to have oh what a skill/to have so many things that make her distinctive/but they're not mine to have/no they're not mine"

"Broken" - Anson Seabra

This song is incredibly sad. Like really sad. But I like it. "Cuz I've been high and I've been low/I've spent a thousand nights alone/tryna hold on tight/feelings come but they won't go/please won't someone take me home/before I lose my mind" "Am I broken? Am I flawed? Do I deserve a shred of worth or am I just another fake ____________ lost cause"

"Peach Scone" - Hobo Johnson

This song is really sad. It is basically Slam Poetry with a backing track. I love it though. I honestly can't summarize it at all. Yes, there is a high recurrence of Cavetown on this compilation. No, I do not regret it. I think that this song is about someone falling in love with someone and changing their personality in order to make that person love them. "I like you....say it back?"
