3. "New" Information Answers

- Includes information not explicitly mentioned in the stimulus - First, examine the scope of the stimulus to make sure the "new" info does not fall under the umbrella of a term or concept mentioned in the stimulus - Second, examine the answer to make sure it is not the consequence of incorrectly combining stimulus elements - answers will contain terms that look like they fall under umbrella but actually don't

4. The Shell Game

occurs when an idea or concept is raised in the stimulus, and then a very similar idea appears in the answer choice, but the idea is changed just enough to be incorrect while remaining attractive - switch around info

2. Exaggerated Answers

stretches out the info given in the stimulus to make a broader statement that is not supported by the stimulus -will try to inflame your prejudice
