Head/Neck
The head neck muscles allow for motion in all three planes. Location of muscle tells the motion they contribute to. Sternocleidomastoid anterior/lateral region of neck, can palpate mastoid process of skull behind ear, goes from rotation, neck flex and late flex. 4 posterior muscles provide neck ext, rotat are semispinalis capitis, semispinalis cervicis, splenius capitis and longissimus capitis.
