An argument ensued. Sri Swamiji then took an oath that by early morning, the neigbors will witness what happiness is by having drinking water and they will see at least 10 people drinking water there. He returned after a while with his friends to dig a well. After long and hard overnight digging, at about 4 am, they came across a hard white rock. Everyone was discouraged but Sri Swamiji hit a coconut on the rock and hit the rock hard with a spade, suddenly they were able to witness a gush of water. Within half an hour the group managed to shatter rock to pieces. Sri Swamiji's friends thought digging well in such a short time and to get water at the depth of 25 feet (which normally takes 40 ft) was a miracle. Sri Swamiji said to his friends that it is "Not a miracle", "It is Sadhana".
