Organization
- achieved when ideas are logically and accurately arranged. When ideas are organized well, a text can achieve the following: Unity, Coherence, Cohesion
To Achieve Good Mechanics of a well written text
-Avoid contractions and exclamation points (unless part of a direct quotation) -Mention the full name before the abbreviation. -Numbers from 0-10 must be spelled out.
To Develop a good written text
-Use clear and concise sentences. -Use precise vocabulary -Avoid redundancies, wordiness, clichés, and highfalutin language. -Avoid excessive use of there and it structures. -Be consistent with pronouns -Avoid sexist language.

3 Important Features of Coherence
1. logical order 2. repetition of key words 3. use of transitional words and phrases (first, next , after, lastly, hence)
Unity
It happens when a composition contains one focused idea
Coherence
It occurs when ideas are connected at the conceptual level
Cohesion
It refers to the connection of ideas at sentence level
Sexist Language
Language that excludes either men or women in discussing topic. It is also known as gender bias. Example : In referring to humanity , you use the word man which refers to males only.
