Modern Olympics
A revival of the Olympic Games that happened back in 1896
Olympic Mascots
Fictional characters that are native to the hosting country represent the culture of said country.
Olympic Rings
Five Rings put together makes the symbols for the continents of the world. The colors that represent the flag colors of every country at least have one color of this list Blue, Yellow, Black, Green and Red.
Olympic Medals
The three Olympic Medals; Bronze Silver and Gold are the medals given to the top athletes of each sport.
Types of Games
There are Summer based games (Track and Field, Shot Put etc.) and Winter Games (Skiing, Snowboarding, Bobsledding, etc.)
Olympic Flame
The Olympic Flame or Torch symbolizes the fire that Prometheus stole from Zeus for us.
Olympic Symbols
The Rings represent each continent, the Torch or Flame, represents the fire of the Olympic Games never going out.
Original Olympics
The ancient Olympic Games were originally a festival, or celebration of and for Zeus.
Purpose of Olympic Games
The purpose of the modern Olympic Games is to promote peace and unity within the international community through the medium of sports.
