They are now smaller and this detail shows us that people don't need billboards to share information and not many people look at them anyway.

They get picked on because they know more than the others and you can't be happy

They get the mechanical hound and make bets on which animal would get eaten first. It shows us that the firemen are sadistic (they get pleasure from watching someone in pain) and that Montag goes along with it even though he is uncomfortable.

They go a fun park to bully people, break windows, or break cars, or race on the streets. These activities tell us that people do not care about life anymore and there are no laws besides no readin books

If someone here in the firehouse knew about the ventilator then mightn't they 'tell' the Hound...?" We're not told what Montag has hidden, but take a guess. Guy was sick and asked for medicine and she wouldn't give it to him and kept saying that he needed to work and that he was just fine, she runs over animals and does not care ,She doesn't remember or care how long they have been together or where they met for the first time.

24. According to Beatty, firemen are actually the "Happiness Boys." What does he mean by this? Do you agree with Beatty that happiness is the aim of life? If not, what should be the aim of life? Explain your answer.
He means that they're like buddies who stand in the way of things that make them unhappy. As Christians, our aim in life should be being more like Christ everyday but I also think that we should strive to be happy.
25. Why, according to Clarisse's uncle, aren't porches built on homes anymore?

7. What metaphor does Bradbury use to describe the earbuds in Mildred's ears? What should alarm the reader about this description?
He used bees buzzing. It should alarm us that we need to keep our ear open and listen to what's going on around us.
5. At first, Clarisse tells Montag that she's 17 and, later, she admits that she'll be 17 next month. She says, "I'm seventeen and I'm crazy. My uncle says the two always go together. When people ask your age, he said, always say seventeen and insane." First, decide whether you think her uncle is right - is there a special kind of insanity in 17 year olds? Explain your answer. Second, given the world that Montag and Clarisse live in, how might the uncle's advice be seen as practical and wise? Explain this answer, too.
I don't think there is any significance to insanity and a seventeen year old because I think that at any age anyone can be insane. This may be wise on the other hand because it is a good way to tell people to keep their distance
22. Although we can't be certain, what do we think has happened to Clarisse? What does the uncertainty of Mildred's report do to Montag? What does it show us, the readers?
I think that Clarisse either died or got taken away because of how she thinks of the world. It makes him worry about her. This shows the readers that Guy did really care about Clarisse and that Guy has feelings unlike his wife Mildred.
15. Clarisse says that she's not like the other teens, primarily because she was taught to be responsible for her actions and even "spanked when I needed it, years ago." Where do you stand on the issue of spanking children who misbehave? From this passage, what do you think is Bradbury's stance on the issue?
I think you need to do it while they are young so they can learn what is right and wrong because once they get older you can't discipline them anymore. I think he agrees with spanking
19. One of Beatty's criticisms of the old woman and her books is that "none of those books agree with each other." Obviously, author Ray Bradbury wants us to read a wide variety of books. What, do you suppose, happens when we read only books that align with our own world view? What is gained? What is lost?
If we read books that only align with our own view, we will never learn the opposing side and we will never learn to form opinions for ourselves. If this were to happen, we would gain knowledge on our world view but we would lose the ability to make opinions for ourselves.
16. What evidence exists that shows us the story begins in late October?
She asks Montag if he thinks that the dead leaves smell like cinnamon
20. How long have Guy and Mildred Montag been married? Where did they meet? What's significant about this detail?
The only information they gave us is that it's been 10 years and something having to do with Chicago but we don't know if that's how long they've been married or how long they've known each other. They don't know where they met and this is significant because it shows us that they don't care about specific details in their relationship.
21. Explain what "wall" exists between Guy and Mildred.
There are 3 walls in the living room area and Mildred cares and is more interested in the walls than she is her own husband. Guy said that everytime he goes into the room, Mildred is busy with the walls.
