Exit row briefing (3 Questions to Ask)

1 Do you realize you are seated in an exit row? 2 Do you understand the responsibilities of being seated there? 3 Are you willing and able to assist in the event of an emergency?

There are 3 cross checks to ensure the slide is armed:

1. "ARMED" is displayed in the verification window. 2. The Arming/Disarming lever is in the extreme downward position 3. The safety pin is in the stowage location

When does sterile flight deck occur?

Begins at block out, through taxi, through takeoff, and ends at 10,000 ft Begins again at 10,000 ft, through landing, through taxi, and ends at block in.

Sterile Flight Deck Definition

A critical phase of flight, when all non-essential communication with the Flight Deck is prohibited (only safety or emergency related information can be communicated)

In the event this exit is needed during an emergency, look out the window If it looks safe, open it Rotate the handle in the direction of the arrow Push the door all the way open If there is a red inflation handle on the floor Reach down and pull it Tell people to jump and slide Please review the safety information card

OWE Exit Row Briefing (Full)

In the event this exit is needed during an emergency, look out the window If it looks safe, open it There is a plastic cover, remove it. While holding the lower handle, reach up and pull on the upper handle Lean the window in Throw it out the opening Pull the red inflation handle in the upper corner Tell people to exit off the wing Please review the safety information card

Prior to Aircraft Movement Announcement

Ladies and gentlemen, prior to aircraft movement, all passengers must be seated with their seatbelts fastened, seat backs up, tray tables up and carry on luggage stowed. All mobile devices should be in airplane mode or cellular service turned off.

Seatbelt Sign Off Announcement

Ladies and gentlemen, the captain has turned off the Fasten Seatbelt sign. You're free to move about the cabin, but we ask that while in your seat, you keep your seatbelt securely fastened even when the seatbelt sign is off. Thank you!

Seatbelt Sign On Announcement

Ladies and gentlemen, the captain has turned on the Fasten Seatbelt sign. Please return to your seat, and ensure that your seatbelt is securely fastened around you. Thank you!

1. Remove the safety pin from the stowage location 2. Lift the arming/disarming lever fully to the upward position 3. Place the safety pin in the protective position

Remove the Safety Pin from protective position Lower the Arming/Disarming lever to the extreme downward position Insert the safety pin into the stowage location
