C. In Plato's Apology, Socrates is depicted as stating that he will not cease to philosophize (even when facing death), but in Plato's Crito, Socrates is depicted as accepting his sentence of death even though he could easily escape a seemingly unjust punishment. In one case Socrates seems to accept a form of civil disobedience and in the other he seems to reject such disobedience as a form of hypocrisy or duplicity. Is he being inconsistent here? Why or why not? Explain!! (Explain in detail and defend your answers!!)

Socrates believes that a life lived unquestioned isn't a life worth living. So, when he is philosophizing peoples beliefs and trying to make them think outside the box to better understand the world they live in, people think he's crazy and gone mad. When he is put on trial he is told that he can live if he stops antagonizing people and questioning all of their beliefs.

B. What does Socrates mean when he states "The unexamined life is not worth living"? Do you agree? Why or why not?

Socrates means that a life without questioning what you belief in isn't worth living. Not furthering your knowledge on what you know and believe makes your life pointless because you're never expanding knowledge for the life you're living. I do agree with what Socrates says because living a life without knowing all the information about what you believe in is pointless. A person should know all aspects of what they believe so that they can know whether or not they want to believe it or not. Also, having all the information on your beliefs can help you not have only second hand beliefs and thoughts about life and the aspect of it all.
