Placeholder
a character, word, or string of characters that may be used to take up space until such a time that the space is needed.

a computer software package used to show information, normally in the form of a slide show.
Template
a file that serves as a starting point for a new document.
Compatibility mode
allows it to run programs written for a different system.
Slide Sorter View
allows the user to see all the slides in a presentation at one time.
Reset command
clears any pending errors or events and brings a system to normal condition or an initial state, usually in a controlled manner.
Gridlines
light gray lines that divide each of the cells, rows, and columns in a spreadsheet.
Ruler
measurement tool found with some software programs that allow the program's user to align graphics, text, tables, or other elements on a page.
Slide Layout
to design and placement of different elements on a slide.
Theme
used to customize the look and feel of a piece of computer software or of an operating system.
