Bias Sample

Census
is a survey of the entire population
Sample
is when a part of the population is being surveyed
Observational Study
observes individuals and measures variables without controlling the individuals or their environment in any way
Random Comparative Group
the individuals are assigned to a control group or the treatment except for one variable
Contolled Experiment
two groups are studied under conditions that are identical except for one variable
Controlled Group
two groups are used for comparison, does not receive the treatment
Random Sample
when every member of a population has an equal chance of being selected for a sample
