Search Volume

# of jobs we are currently pulling into Indeed's search results

Prospect

A Prospect is a type of account in AdCentral. A Prospect can be created internally by filling out a form for a point of contact or generated automatically by email.

Indeed Apply

A button used to simplify the application process for the job seeker. Job seekers only need to include, name, email, phone number (optional), resume/CV and cover letter (optional).

Advanced Budget

A cumulative lifetime budget. The client will manage the CPC.

Google Analytics

A free Google product that tracks behavior on a website including visits, % of new visitors, bounce rate, pages/visit, and average visit duration.

Indeed Resume

A free resource for Job Seeker's to upload their Resume to Indeed. Employers can search and view job seeker's resumes for free. The employer can choose to contact that job seeker through Indeed and if the job seeker decides to respond, the employer will receive their contact information. In certain countries, such as the US, Indeed Resume is monetized and will cost $1 after the employer has exhausted their initial free contacts.

Campaign Segment

A group of jobs that have a similar cost per click.

Job Analytics Report

A monthly report that combines both organic and sponsored data. It will show number of clicks based on top job titles, top locations, top keywords and competitive performance based on the vertical.

Click By Title Report

A report that displays the organic and sponsored click totals for every job in the client's source. This report updates in real time and can be run for any custom date range.

Cushion Statement

A statement that acknowledges we listened to the client, heard the objection and recognize the importance

Tracking

A way for clients to measure their return on investment from Indeed

Single File XML

ATS provides Indeed with one file that contains all of the jobs from companies using that ATS

Conversion Tracker

Account specific JavaScript code, wich is sometimes called a "beacon" or "pixel". It tracks the aggregate or total applications right in the client's Indeed account.

Advertiser

An Advertiser is a type of account in AdCentral. An Advertiser account must be created by the client by going to indeed.com/hire or the Employers section of Indeed. If a client wants to sponsor jobs, they must create an Advertiser account.

Apply URL

An alternative sponsored route that is available for Hosted job clients. This product allows clients to still host their jobs on Indeed, if their jobs are not indexable, but send job seekers back to their online application.

Featured Employer

An exclusive product for clients that meet our requirements to increase their brand recognition on Indeed. Their company will appear in a Featured Employer ad unit in search results pages which will help drive more traffic and applicants to their jobs.

Waldo

An internal tool Client Services uses to look up the job visibility and to create rules.

ONET Online

An online resource to generate custom Industry Trend reports

Average Cost per Click. On average how much the client is spending per click for a specific date range

CSOS

Client Serivces Operations Support - An internal team Client Services partners with for certain tasks and products like Apply URL. It is also a type of JIRA ticket that Client Services can submit.

CSP

Client Services Product - An internal team in Client Services that we partner with. They are our liaisons between CS and Product. It is also a type of ticket you can submit in JIRA.

Segments

Client Services can help clients group or segment their jobs to easily manage their account. We'll segment the jobs based on similar factors such as location, priority or job title.

Per Client XML

Client provides Indeed with an XML file that contains only their jobs

Direct Indexing/pulling jobs directly from company website that meet the DALT criteria

Company Pages

Employers can grow and promote their brand and company through Indeed's free Company Page product. Job seekers can come to a Company Page to see any jobs the company has open, photos, reviews, salary data and much more.

Industry Trends Report

Employment trends report that shows the average jobs, total clicks, top titles, top keywords, and top locations for that specific industry in a given month. These are only available for English speaking countries.

XML

Extensible Markup Language. Large file of coding that meets the DALT criteria.

AdCentral

Indeed's internal CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) where you'll find all of your client's Prospect and Advertiser accounts. AdCentral is also where we can communicate internally on an account.

BidOpt

Indeed's internal tool that will manage the budget and CPC for the client. The goal is to reach 100% of the monthly budget while getting the most traffic at the lowest cost. Bid Optimizer manages the budget by looking at the traffic on Indeed, the client's budget and the number of days left in the month.

Indexed Sponsored Jobs

Indeed's product that allows job seekers to apply to jobs directly on a company's website. The client will need to meet our DALT (Description, Application Method, Location, Title) criteria and be indexed in order to use this product.

Organic Viz

Jobs at Organic visibility will not be sent out in job seeker emails. They will be allowed in the organic section and sponsored section if the client sponsors the job.

Max CPC

Maximum Cost per Click. The most the client is willing to pay per click at that given moment.

NPS

NPS = Net Promoter Score 0 - 6 = Detractors 7 & 8 = Neutral 9 & 10 = Promoters

Conversion

Number of applies received for the job or segment

Clicks

Number of times a job seeker has viewed the client's full job description (organic or sponsored)

Impressions

Number of times the client's job appeared in search results or has been viewed in a search by job seekers.

Average Page

On average where the client's jobs are appearing in search results for a given date range.

Post Pay CC

One of our 4 payment methods that we offer to clients. Clients input their credit card and they are charged every time they hit their default credit limit for their currency or at the end of the month for what they've accrued.

Global Tracking Token

One universal token that the ATS provides

Tracking Token

Otherwise known as a URL parameter that will track the applicant as coming from Indeed.

Simple Per Job

Recurring monthly budget on the job level. The client chooses a daily or monthly recurring budget and the CPC is managed by Bid Optimizer. This budget will automatically prorate.

Simple All Jobs

Recurring monthly budget that is set for all open Hosted jobs in the account. Client Services must set this up for the client and it's best to be used with similar types of jobs. We can choose to start the budget now, prorate or start next month.

SO Viz

SO - Jobs will not be sent out in email alerts and will not be show in the organic section. Clients will have to sponsor their jobs in order for them to appear on Indeed.

Hosted Jobs

Self service (client managed) product that makes it easy for clients that can't be aggregated to post their jobs directly on Indeed. Also known as Dradis, Individually Sponsored Jobs or ISJs.

Feed URL

The URL to where all of the jobs are located

JA Viz

The best visibility a job can have. Jobs at Job Alert will be sent to job seekers in email alerts, appear in the organic and sponsored section if the client sponsors the job.

Postpay IO

The client agrees to a total amount that cannot be exceeded. They receive a bill at the end of each month for what they've actually accrued. Once the IO runs out, we will need to pursue a renewal.

PrePay IO

The client is billed up front for a total amount. Once the IO runs out, we will need to pursue a renewal.

Postpay Invoice

The client is invoiced at the end of the month via email for what they spent that month.

Mission Jobs

The job graveyard.

Daily Budget

The most the job or campaign segment can spend in a day. We'll use the daily budget to manage the client's monthly budget effectively. If the jobs hits the daily budget, the job will be taken down from the Sponsored section until the next day.

Source

The organization that we are getting jobs from.

Status

The status determines if the job or segment is being shown on Indeed (Open, Paused, Closed)

Nowhere Viz

These jobs are dedicated for spam, scams and fraud. They will not be shown on Indeed at all, even if the client is willing to sponsor.

Multi-Location Tool

This is only available when a client is using the Apply URL product. It allows clients to post the same job in multiple cities without having to repost the job.

Feed Source Type

This is the client type (Employer, Job Board, Recruiter).

Health

This shows us how the feed is performing.

Automatic Tracking

Tracking provided by an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) that automatically records Indeed as the source for that applicant. Automatic tracking is set up through a URL parameter or tracking token which can be found on the ATS map.

Unique Per Client Tracking Token

Tracking token that is specific to a client.

Reporting

Various ways to track the client's ROI from Indeed. Indeed provides a few reporting tools such as the Click by Title Report, Job Analytics, Advertising or Performance Report, and Industry Trends.

Manual Tracking

When the job seeker has to manually select where they heard about the job
