Calculate Gravity on Mars- Find the acceleration due to gravity on Mars if a person with a mass of 60.0 kg weighs 222 N on mars.

222=(60)n 3.7= n The gravity on Mars wold be 3.7

Calculate force- Find the force exerted by a rope on a 10-kg mass that is hanging from the rope

F=(m)(a) F= (10 kg)(9.8 m/s2) F= 98n

formula

F=m*a

Describe how the gravitational force between two objects depends on the mass of the object and the distance between them.

If there is a bigger object that has a greater mass then the smaller one, then more gravitational force will occur for the bigger one.

Suppose Earth's mass increased, but its diameter didn't change. How would the acceleration due to gravity near Earth's surface change?

It would be a lot stronger to cause for the sun to keep it in place and the people and things on earth surface would be a lot heavier also.

Distinguish between the mass of an object and the object's weight.

The weight of an object is a force while mass is a measure of the amount of matter an object contains. The weight has to do with the force and push or pull of an object while the other one is telling us how much matter there is accrued to it.

Calculate Weight- On earth, what is the weight of a large-screen TV that has a mass of 75 kg?

W=mg W=(75-kg)(9.8 m/s2) W=735-kg Since the kg on earth is the same, the TV would be 735-kg

Explain what causes the path of a projectile to be curved.

When you throw something in the air, in a direction and gravity is pulling it down. The ball now has no acceleration to go forward so while gravity is getting bigger, it causes it to hit the ground and make a curve.
