Cross affected leg over unaffected leg suggest using Dycem to keep affected leg from slipping

Place shoe over affected foot and slip over heel

Pull up the sock

Repeat the same procedure with unaffected foot/leg (dycem not needed)

Therapist places all the fingers and thumb of the unaffected hand into the sock Spread the sock as wide as possible and place over toes

Will demonstrate how to don socks and shoes SHOWING long handled shoe horn as an option
