The Increase of Socialism in the American Economy
Bullets of the Advantages of Socialism:
-Fair System-More Humane & True -Reducing Disparities-Eliminates Social Evils -Improved Standard Of Living-Creates Better Human Resources -Unity
Bullets of the Disadvantages of Socialism:
-Unreal Theory-Improper Implementation -Negatively Influences Growth Of Economy -Poverty & Social Evils Are Not Eliminated -No Real Increase In Standard Of Living -Boosts Incompetence
The Reality of Socialism
In reality, the more socialism is imposed on a society, the faster the society fails because no one, not even the most idealistic, self-professed socialists, will work very hard for very long if most of what you earn is taken away and given to others.
Disadvantages of Socialism: (2)
In times of plenty, immigrants are drawn to the free resources offered by socialistic systems, while potentially adding nothing economically productive.
Disadvantages of Socialism: (3)
In times of scarcity, resentment of non-economically-productive members of society increases, causing a destabilizing effect on the society and economy.
Advantages of Socialism (1)
People who are not capable of sustaining themselves individually are helped by the government.
Disadvantages of Socialism: (1)
Since there is no culling and no economic advantage to working harder, socialistic systems provide no inherent incentive to participate. This makes socialism internally unstable. Due to a lack of incentives, socialistic systems tend not to be competitive, making them externally unstable.
What Socialism Does: (1)
Socialism emerges as politicians try to social engineer a society through regulation and aggressive taxation to fund give-away programs that redistribute wealth to those who do not deserve it because they do nothing to earn it.
Advantages of Socialism (3)
Socialism implemented at a government level tends to give government greater control of functions of society. Certain functions are 'better' run by a central government than by a private sector, as the private sector is more prone to greed or corruption.
What Socialism Does: (2)
Socialists take from those who work and produce, and give to those who produce nothing or very little. It's essentially theft, except it's legal.
Goal of Socialism
The main goal of socialism is to dispel class distinctions by turning over control of industry to the state. This results in a harmonious society, free of oppression and financial instability. Some of the other forms of socialism include these goals:
Socialism--The Theory
The rich have less ability to exploit the poor. People get a fair chance in life. A "fairer" distribution of wealth.
Roots of Socialism in America
The roots of socialism in America can be traced to the arrival of German immigrants in the 1850s when Marxian socialist unions began
Advantages of Socialism (2)
When basic needs are more easily attained, there is additional opportunity for citizens to explore non-economically-productive pursuits or pursuits that do not have immediate economic benefit, such as science, math and the arts.
Definition of Socialism
