One pro of the Louisiana Purchase is that it doubled the size of the U.S. Cons were that people got worried that the country would get too big and impossible to govern. Another criticism was that it wasn't clear that the purchase was constitutional. Another pro was the fact that the land was incredibly cheap.

President Monroe ordered Andrew Jackson to stop the raids on Florida. Instead Jackson Gathered a battalion of 1,700 soldiers and marched through Florida capturing nearly every fort in the state.

Stephen F. Austin started the first colony in Texas. His goal was to reach his fathers dream of making texas part of the U.S. His dream was finally fulfilled in 1844 when Texas became the 28th state.

The deal was that Spain would leave Florida, the U.S would give Spain $5 million, and the U.S recognizes Spain's claim to Texas.

The deal was that the U.S would give the French $11 million, and $4 millions in cancellation of debts. France would inevitably loose the land when they went to war with France.

He meant that if they did not get the land up to the coordinates 54 latitude 40 longitude they would fight the British for it. He did not follow through with this.

What agreement did Great Britain and the United States make in the 1820's concerning Oregon?

The agreement said that Great Britain and the U.S would share the land in Oregon. Giving the U.S the smaller half.
