Flight segment

Trip Fee

A fee that is charged by trip actions per trip. A trip can contain several bookings but with a trip fee there will only be one general fee charged. The fee is a pre determined amount generally between $10-$30 that is agreed upon by company when they sign with trip actions the fee is nonrefundable.

Ground stop/ Ground Delay

A ground stop is an air traffic control measure that slows or halta the flow of aircraft inbound to a given airport

pseudo city code (pcc)

A pseudo city is an environment within sabre that fulfills airline ticketing. A pseudo city code (pcc) is the name of that pseudo city in sabre. Trip action has several pcc's that they utilize. the trip Actions pcc is 3ZFI.

Delegate

A user who has the ability to book travel for other, sometimes specific users in their company

GDS (Global Distribution System)

A worldwide computerized reservation network used as a single point of access for reserving Airlines seats, hotel rooms, rental cars, and other travel related items by travel agents, online reservation sites and a large corporation.

customer success Manger (csm)

AKA account management. this team is in charge of 1 launching all new costumers (scaled and high-touch) and 2 the continued health of each account (health=volume bookings, traveler and decision maker satisfaction and revenue.

ARC

Airlines Reporting corporation is a conpa y which provides ticket transaction settlement services between airlines and travel agencies both traditional and online and the travel management companies that sell their product in the United states.

Code share

An airline agreement where one airline markets sells an entire trip as their own but another airline may operate a portion of it.

Record Locator(PNR)

An alpha numeric code generally consisting of 6-digits which is used to access a reservation in an airlines booking system. PNR stands for passenger name record.

e-ticket

An electronic document that contains all flight and payment information for a flight reservation. E-ticket numbers consist of 13 numerical digits

Admin

Company user who has ability to change settings and information for company and employee's profiles. Admin also has the ability to book travel for any user in their company profile.

Redress Number

The Redress number is a 7-digit identifier for those travelers whose identity has been verified in the department of homeland security systems

Invitee

This is a user who has been invited to book travel on trip actions by a company. The user is not yet an employee of the company that invited them and generally the booking is paid for by said company.

User

This is just any type of normal user that books travel on the app and doesn't have any specific privileges in trip actions.

TSA

Transportation Security Administration, a program implemented after 9/11, is an agency of the U.S department of homeland security that has authority over the security of the traveling public in the United States.

is a clause rhat some airlines include in their terms of use. It basically means that a user not showing up for the outbound flight will be considered a no show, and all connecting flights associated with this one even a eeturn flight will be cancelled and no refund will apply.

the GDS that is used by trip actions and several major airlines.

CUG (closed user Group)

this is a deep name your price style inventory that hotel push out to partners (e.g. priceline) that is stripped of brand information when surfaced to a general consumer base (e.g. stay in a four star hotel in down town LA) CUG inventory is non changeable, non refundable. This rate is also known as Run of the house " inventory.

Exchange

when a traveler has an existing ticket and needs to make changes, the old ticket must be exchanged for a new one that will reflect their desired itinery
