UNIV - Questions
additionally the goal of this class was to
empower students to let go of self defeating practices and attitudes,
in all honesty,
faults: time and placement
from what we could gather,
most people weren't aware of the different types of comparisons, the international view points , or just how much social media affected the way and the extremes it causes to compare
soo taking this into account,
this was one of the main reasons we chose this topic, that's not really talked about enough as it should be, - our professor really just pushed us into more taboo topics, and as a result, finding out as much as we did about COMPARISON, and its different components, we really took a s step into letting go "self defeating practices and attitudes
i think overall
using this information we all found, i the we can all apply differently to our lives, hopefully towards a more positive perspective in our lives, and hopefully change other perspectives on the topic, and in the future create an larger application of our community [proposal
our course topic
was base doff our book, gifts of imperfection, brene brown,
the theme we noticed kept on popping up,
was really the misinformation, or the lack of mindfulness given to something that is so common
i think in general,
we can apply this material from our project and apply it to really anything in our lives - -weather it be personals,, or future worries, we compare and most of the time, we don't realize how harmful it can be,
i think discovering the science or reasoning behind this, reading studies , and articles, and just the overall deep dive,
we can now be mindful and hopefully, teach others about how to use comparison, and how it affects mental health
for our community engagement project,
we incorporated our topic into a game of hot potato, with a specific aim to to create an open discussion, and bring awareness to our topic..
