Subculture
A group of people who value the same things based on common life experiences and situations. A smaller piece of the larger culture.
Anthropologist
A social scientist of who studies culture.
Values
The usefulness and importance of something in a culture. Certain cultures *value* things more so than other cultures, for example, in Canada the highest crime that you can commit is murder, because in Canada, they value life.
Universal culture
Things that are common among all cultures. For example: Law family groups Music Marriage Education Friendship Dance
traditional culture
Traditions of culture that have been practiced over many years by a group of people.

We learn how to behave through the following: 1) Family 2) Community 3) School 4) Clubs, teams, and other organizations 5) Government 6) Religious groups 7) Mass media 8) Peer groups All of the above can be defined as _______of socialization.
