(verb) to use your senses and measurements to gather information from the world around you

logic

(noun) a way of thinking that is organized, sequential, and based on observations and facts

inference

(noun) A good guess about what something means using only limited observations and data.

hypothesis

(noun) a statement that you think is true based on what you already know.

conclusion

(noun) a summary of what you have learned based on your evidence

graph

(noun) a visual display that shows a relationship between 2 sets of information using an x-axis and y-axis

table

(noun) a way to organize data. It has rows and columns. Also called a data table.

natural world

(noun) anything in the environment around you that is not created by people (such as organisms, rocks, air, water, space, energy, forces)

senses

(noun) see, hear, smell, taste, and touch

pattern

(noun) something that repeats in the same way over and over again

(noun) the measurements and observations that you collect and record during an experiment
