Lipid; made up of fatty acids and glycerol; type of nutrient that protects body organs, insulates the body, and stores energy
Protein
Macromolecule that contains carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen; needed by the body for growth and repair
Why do we need to eat
Molecules in food contain chemical energy that cells use to produce ATP. Food also supplies raw materials your body needs to build and repair tissues.
