If a brawl broke out on the Mess Decks during my Duty Day, there are several ways to go about neutralizing the situation. After exhausting traditional measures, such as contacting the section leader, CDO, and DMAA, I would request assistance from the Chief's Mess to help contain the sailors. I could also sound the General Quarters alarm to create a sense of urgency throughout the ship, especially amongst the sailors on the mess deck, to help shift their focus in another direction.

No equipment will be operated or energized that may affect diving operations without first notifying the Diving Supervisor.

FPCON DELTA

This condition applies in the immediate area where a terrorist attack has occurred or when intelligence has been received that terrorist action against a specific location is expected/imminent. Normally, this FPCON is declared as a localized condition.

FPCON CHARLIE

This condition applies when a terrorist incident occurs or when intelligence is received indicating that some form of terrorist action against installations and personnel is imminent. Implementation of these measures for more than a short period will probably create hardship and will affect the peacetime activities of the unit and its personnel.

FPCON BRAVO

This condition applies when an increased and more predictable threat of terrorist activity exists. The measures used in this FPCON must be capable of being maintained for weeks without causing undue hardship, without affecting operational capability, and aggravating relations with local authorities.

FPCON ALPHA

This condition applies where there is a general threat of possible terrorist activity against installations and personnel, the nature and extent of which are unpredictable and when the circumstances do not justify full implementation of the measures of FPCON BRAVO.
