This state is both south of Queensland and New South Wales, and southeast of South Australia. The capital is Melbourne.

Located in the southeastern coast of Queensland and is near the Great Dividing Range and Great Barrier Reef

Located off the eastern coast of New South Wales and is also near the Great Dividing Range.
