Tattling In school, there are two types of problems: social problems and emergencies. Emergencies are when something serious has happened, like someone getting hurt or doing something that may affect learning. Social problems are when two people have a misunderstanding, like someone accidentally stepped on someone's shoe but the other person thinks they did it on purpose. In all emergencies, an adult should be informed as soon as possible. In a social problem, the people should calmly talk to each other and find out why something happened. When someone tells the teacher about someone else's social problem, that is called tattling, and it can make it difficult to get along with other people.
