- The Boxer Rebellion was a movement that took place in beginning of the century - Its main idea was put into play by a secret society and wanted to drive out foreign people - out of the belief that the foreign people were destroying their nation - This rebellion drew international response and showed China's weakness and helped to contribute to the downfall of the imperial government
