15. Edwin Kayser
a 6th grader at Chaminade who starred in a movie named football killed em. And he was the quarter back who threw the winning pass and got the girl.

a couple was robbed and then there car was stolen right in front of Chaminade, the five bandits had revolvers, some were caught and some were killed at a later date.
Leo P. Granger
a graduate of the university of Vermont and was hired 1924-25, and was teacher coach in the high school.

a student editor of the cardinal white that accepted the responsibility of recognizing the faculty and biding them farewell.

chaminade boys hosted 250 soldiers and 6th infantry from Jefferson Barracks, and these soldiers camped in the southern half of the property at the end of cemetery lane by the creek.

it turned into St. Mary's high school, and was originally run by brothers.

1. Assumption High School
one of three high schools run by Marianist, located in East St. Louis, and it became co-ed after it merged with St. Theresa's.
9. Rev Valentine Braun
replaced father Juergens as president in 1936, served at many Marianist schools before Chaminade including Mary Hurst.

replaced father Rabe who headed the school until 1931.
5. Red Top cars
taxis, a form of transportation to the school for the day students. And the red top car was a nickname by the students. It picked them up at their doors and drove them to school and drove them home, it costs 20 cents each way.
4. Day Scholar Department
the amount of day students and not dormers. These new techniques increased this program.
