Sleep apnea

NREM sleep

a recurring sleep state during which rapid eye movements do not occur and dreaming does not occur (NS)

REM rebound

the tendency for REM sleep to increase following REM sleep deprivation (created by repeated awakenings during REM sleep) (RR)
