interlace / non-interlace

A non-interlaced display is a cathode-ray tube ( CRT ) display in which the lines are scanned sequentially from the top to the bottom of the screen.

contrast ratio

The contrast ratio is a property of a display system, defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest color (white) to that of the darkest color (black) that the system is capable of producing. A high contrast ratio is a desired aspect of any display. It has similarities with dynamic range.

native resolution

The native resolution of a LCD, LCoS or other flat panel display refers to its single fixed resolution

pixel

a minute area of illumination on a display screen, one of many from which an image is composed.

refresh rate

the frequency with which a monitor's display is updated.

brightness

the location of a visual perception along a continuum from black to white

aspect ratio

the ratio of two dimensions of something as considered from a specific direction, in particular.

contrast

the state of being strikingly different from something else, typically something in juxtaposition or close association.
