Audience analysis that focuses on situational factors such as the size of the audience, the physical setting for the speech, and the disposition of the audience toward the topic, the speaker, and the occasion.

Stereotyping
Creating an oversimplified image of a particular group of people, usually by assuming that all members of the group are alike.
What are three kinds of questions used in questionnaires? Why is it a good idea to use all three in audience analysis
Fixed alternative questions Scaled questions Open ended questions Have more detailed responses that the other two types of questions, they also increase, the likehood of getting answers that do not give the kind information you need. Each type of questions has its advantages and disadvantages. By using all three types of questions, the speaker did two things elicited specific information about the audience and probe more deeply into their attitudes toward the speech topic
How can you get information about an audience?
For speeches outside the classroom, you can best get information about the audience by asking the person who invited you to speak. For classroom speeches, you can learn about your audience by observation and conversation. You can also circulate an audience analysis questionnaire.

They pay close attention to messages that affect their own values, beliefs, and well being First they mean your listeners will hear and judge what you say on the basis of what they already know and believe. Questions that require response at fixed intervals along a scale of answers
What is situational audience analysis? What factors do you need to consider in situational audience analysis?
Situational audience analysis usually builds on demographic analysis. It inferiores traits of the audience unique to the speaking situation of hand. The size of audience, physical, setting, disposition of the audience toward the subject, speaker and occasion
Egocentrism
The tendency of people to be concerned above all with their own values, beliefs, and well being
Why must a public speaker be audience centered?
They know that the aim of speech making is to gain a desired response from listeners.
