Livening Up Notice (LUN)
Once as system is mechanically complete it can be livened up, i.e. or power applied to it, of course the systems the at let power into the system in question also must have been livened up first. Now just applying power to a system isn't just that easy it must be done in a safe manner, people need to know what is going to be livened up. For that a notice is issued and displayed in a prominent place to ensure that everyone on the Site, Vessel, Platform or other work location, knows what equipment is going to be live. Previously this equipment was just a piece of dead equipment with no built in Danger. Now when it goes live there could be electric current, pressure, steam or other medium flowing through or contained within the equipment. The Livening up Notice (LUN) is issued by the Commissioning Manager to all departments and pinned on a notice board, so that everyone on the site can know that the equipment is now Live.
