Roll
AKA Cove, Puffing part of the casket interior that lines the rim (ogee) and and surrounds the cap panel
Lug
AKA the Ear, the part of the handle attached to the casket body
Fold
AKA the Gimp a strip of metal, plastic, or fabric covering the area where the roll (cove) is anchored.
Handle
AKA the bar
Overlay Skirt
Also called the Apron, a component part of the throw, which extends downward into the casket
Cap
The top-most part of the casket shell, including the ogee, crown, pie and header
Overlay
also called the throw. the aesthetic covering for the foot cap or inner foot panel of the casket
Pie
also known as the Fishtail, the wedge-shaped portion of the cap
Rim
also known as the Ogee.
Ogee
also known as the Rim, an "s" shaped molding that is a component part of the casket cap
Perfection Full Couch
casket in which the rim (ogee), crown, and pies are formed as one unit which raises in one piece
Tip
decorative part of the casket handle that covers the exposed ends of the bar
Top Body Molding
molding along the uppermost edge of the body panels
Swing bar

Bridge
part of the lid in a half-couch casket that ends one section and begins another
Extendover
portion of the interior which extends over the top body molding outside the casket
Shell
the component parts that compose the cap and the lid

the part of the handle that attaches the bar to the lug
