Jesus loves and cares for his sheep. He calls his sheep by name. He laid down his life for his sheep.
In what ways does the textbook say that Jesus is similar to Moses and David?
Jesus was a great leader and deliverer, like Moses and David.
Briefly describe the kingdom of God as taught in the textbook.
Jesus' kingdom is about the rein of God in human hearts. A citizen of the Kingdom of God can never be complacent about the kingdoms of this world; the power of God in a human heart will help them resist the power of the devil in this world.

The "In the beginning" part reminds me of Genesis 1 because Jesus was with God in the beginning and all things were made through him.
Read 1 Corinthians 1: 18-25. What is the Apostle Paul referring to when he says at the end that "the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men?"
There is no foolishness or weakness in God, but what humans going down the path to destruction see as such overcomes their admired wisdom and strength.

• 1 Corinthians 1:24 says that Christ is the power and wisdom of God. • John 1:1 says that Jesus is God and that he was there in the beginning.
