911 Lifeline Law.
Under this law, if someone seems to be suffering from alcohol poisoning, you can call 911 without worrying about legal punishments: the first person to call for medical assistance will not be charged for consuming or possessing alcohol as long as he or she remains on the scene until aid arrives and consistently cooperates with law enforcement.
The amount of alcohol in your system is measured with a number known as
Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC). Drivers 21 years of age or older cannot legally drive with a BAC over 0.08%, which indicates that a person has more than eight parts of alcohol for every 10,000 parts of blood in his or her body. It is illegal for drivers under 21 to have a BAC over 0.00% when driving—or at any other time.
