Apply the 03/14/12 Date number format to cell D4.

1) select cell d4 2) in number group on ribbon, click dialog box launcher button (downward right arrow) 3) click date in category, in type list click 03/14/12 --> ok

For range B4:B15, create a New conditional formatting rule that formats the top five values in the range with a Blue, Accent 5 cell background color (9th column, 1st row in the background color palette)

1) select range 2) click conditional formatting --> new rule 3) select rule format only top or bottom ranked values 4) type 5 in value box 5) click format 6) click fill tab 7) click color

enter the conditional formatting rule for range B5:B16 to highlight cells whose values is less than $25,000. Use the same cell formatting as in the original rule.

1) select range 2) click conditional formatting -> manage rules 3) click edit rule 4) in edit formatting rule dialog box, under format only cells with, click the greater than arrow 5) click less than -> ok

highlight cells in the range B4:B15 whose value is less than $50,000 using Yellow Fill with Dark Yellow Text (Font color: RGB 156, 87, 0 & Fill Color: RGB 255, 235, 256)

1) select range 2) click conditional formatting button 3) click highlight cell rules 4) click less than button 5) type 50000 in box 6) click format cells arrow 7) click yellow fill with dark yellow text 8) click ok

apply the currency number format, using the $ symbol and showing two decimal places, to range C4:C15

1) select range 2) click currency in toolbar instead of accounting or dollar sign below

set the print area as range b3:G17

1) select range 2) click page layout tab 3) click print area button -> set print area
