Five Major Conditioning Processes

Spontaneous recovery

CR can recur after a time delay without need for further conditioning. (a relationship, along time can go by but you still have those feelings maybe not as strong but you still have those feelings, good or bad)

Extinction

Diminished responding that happens when the CS (tone) no longer occurs right before UCS (food)

Discrimination

Learned ability to distinguish between a CS and other irrelevant stimuli.

Acquisition

The initial learning of the stimulus -response relationship. (the association of dog food and a can opener sound)

Generalization

the tendency of a new stimulus, one that is similar to the original CS, to elicit the CR. you get things confused.
