This characteristic relates to Ross Perot is because it shows that the person elected is not always chosen by the people and the electoral vote usually favors the two major parties in running.

Congress can work to improve monetary policy by making it more transparent. This allows for open debate and criticism. As a result of more criticism, the Federal Reserve would be forced to take accountability and change their inconsistencies. By Congress creating a more transparent monetary policy, it also allows for easier Congressional oversight through more Federal Reserve disclosure. Overall, competition of ideas and open criticism leads to more responsible and transparent policymaking.

C. Explain how the ideological perspective of the Democratic Party would likely affect how it would address these economic issues.

In order to help workers, Democrats would focus on the individual unlike Republicans who seem to be aiming for the broader sense. Democrats would focus on equal pay for equal work by raising minimum wage or providing skill training opportunities. Along with equal opportunities, the Democratic party implements social welfare programs to influence poverty reduction.

B. Explain how the result of the electoral process described in Part A could affect future third-party or independent candidates running for president.

Since the electoral vote favors a two-party system, third-party candidates and independents are often forgotten. The consistent responsibility of third-parties has been to bring up issues that have been neglected in national debate. For example they often don't get a lot of votes due to the problem that the candidates for the other parties incorporate the major issue they are only focusing on as well as others. This makes people tend to vote for the major party rather than the third because the major party is not only focussing on the third parties issue but others that are demented important.

The electoral process is often described as the indirect way that the people select the President. Electors act as a filter between direct votes by citizens and the selection of the President. This is an example of representative democracy in which the entire electoral process is rooted in. As a result of this, the process of elections has grown more and more democratic.

This affects policy making because the Federal Reserve has to deal with market control and Congressional oversight. A transparent monetary policy also forces the Federal Reserve to confront inconsistencies. Therefore, their analysis when policymaking must be on point. These actions to increase accountability take certain powers from the Federal Reserve but they also allow for more informed policymaking.

To get a higher average salary the NEA could organize different forms of political participation that their 3.2 million members could participate in. This would include Protesting, letter-writing campaigns, and canvassing areas all in order to draw attention to the issue of low teacher salaries.

B. In the context of the scenario, explain how the resources available to the NEA could impact the effectiveness of the strategy in part A.

the NEA could use their large member base to make it easier to organize political participation that could effectively draw attention to the issue of teacher salaries. The NEA could also actively use its budget to pay for strategies such as influencing lawmakers, launching a social media campaign, and buying advertisements all in order to increase teacher salaries.
