The paintings featured threadlike brushstrokes and highly keyed color that depicted space as fragmented and fractured. The Futurists admired speed, technology, youth and violence, the car, the airplane and the industrial city, all that represented the technological triumph of humanity over nature. Somewhat needed an updated version of art and design to keep up with the changing technology.
