A device that works with distinct and separate data, such as digits 1 and 0. Example: digital devices only have two states, on or off, like a light switch.

The results produced by the computer can be display, transmitted, or printed on one of these.

Manipulation of data by computers in a variety of ways like calculating, solving, decision making etc.
Processing
Its name is Random Access Memory, also known as a temporary holding area for data.
RAM

The programs used to direct the operation of a computer, as well as documentation giving instructions on how to use them, such as Word or PowerPoint.
