The plane engine shut down, he held the nose of the plane down, glided and looked for lakes, turned to the right, pulled the nose up a little and down again, saw trees and a wide open place, wings hit the trees, ripping off the main braces, dust and dirt blew in his face, he slammed forward in his seat and smashed his head on the wheel, he heard metal ripping then the plane slammed into the lake and tore the windshield out, and shattered the side windows. Brian heard himself screaming, was in fear and pain as the plane sank, then he reached for and released his seatbelt and swam up to the surface for air and life.
