What is the difference between an RDN and a nutritionist?
The difference between an RDN and nutritionist is that RDN can only be used by dietetic practitioners who are authorized to use the credential by the commission on Dietetic Registration of the academy of Nutritionist/Dietetics. These are LEGALLY protected titles. They've completed specific academic and supervised requirements, registrated exam. Nutritionists only abide by specific state laws.
