Stance on Hazing
Kappa Alpha Psi has never condoned hazing but is aware it still happens. In 1990 kappa along with other NPHC organizations issued a statement announcing the elimination of pledging. The fraternity backed its stance by releasing executive order one in 1988, two in 1993, and three in 1994. Three being the most recent one states that "any member, who participates in underground pledge activities, or hazing of any kind, shall be expelled from the Fraternity.

Kappa League was founded on Thursday, February 12, 1969, by the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., at Alain • It was renamed the Kappa Instructional Leadership League • The Founders were Mel L. Trick question: ever. Since the beginning of the fraternity, canes were used. Although, the original "original" canes did not have hooks and were not used for stepping. The canes were a symbol of elegance and a gentleman.
