converting to kg

1. convert ounces to lbs (if needed) 2 divide by 2.2 Example: Convert 5 lbs 4 oz: 1. change 4 oz to lbs (4/16=0.25) then addit to lbs so 5+0.25=5.25lbs then divide that by 2.2: 5.25/2.2=2.38=2.4 lbs.

divide by 16, example: 5 lbs 4 oz: 4/16=0.25 so 5lbs 4 oz = 5.25 lbs. (remember 5 is already in lbs, so you do nothing to it ) then add 5+0.25=5.25

converting decimal lbs to oz

multiple decimal by 16 : Example 5.25 lbs 1. leave the 5 alone that will be your lbs. multiple 0.25x16= 4 oz so 5.25lbs = 5 lbs 4 oz.
