3x2 ANOVA
6 conditions, one IV has 3 levels and the other IV has 2 levels
Mixed ANOVA
One between-subjects and one within-subjects
On SPSS for repeated measures
We have a column for each measure
2x2 Independent Groups Design
both factors are between subjects e.g. experience and age
2x2 Repeated Measures Design
both factors are within-subjects e.g. target type and timing of assessment
To make interpreting results easier
break down into three 2x2 interactions, if one is significant then the interaction is significant
When using more than 2 levels
need to look at Mauchly's test of sphericity and Levene's test
Parallel lines probably indicate
no interaction
Assumptions made when 3x2
