A type of leasing contract in which an airplane is leased along with crew maintenance services insurance and fuel

Damp Lease

A type of leasing contract in which an airplane is leased, along with maintenance services and insurance but no crew

Freight Tonne Kilometer

A unit designed in express cargo volume shipped. It is equal to the number of tonnes of cargo shipped multiplied by the number of kilometers they were shipped

Revenue Tonne Kilometer(RTK)

A unit designed to express total airline activity. It is equal to the number of tonnes of cargo passengers baggage and mall shipped multiplied by the number of kilometers they were shipped

Open Sky Agreement

AN agreement between two countries in which airlines of one country are allowed to serve any of the other country's airports.

International Civil Aviation Organization

An agency of the United Nations whose mission is to establish safety and security standards for civil aviation

Integrator

An air cargo carrier that offers its customers complete door to door service

Volume Weight

An artificial weight determined in function of the dimensions of a shipment used by airlines to determine the tariff to be paid for a light shipment

Time Definite Shipments

Cargo or package shipments that must be delivered by a guaranteed predetermined time and day

Express Cargo

Cargo shipped with guaranteed predetermined delivery date

Warsaw Convention

A 1929 Convention that established the first liability limits for Air Carriers

Montreal Protocol 4

A 1999 protocol that limits the liability of air carriers to SDR 17 per kilogram, there is no limit for death or bodily injury

Lower Deck

A deck designed to carry cargo and luggage, located underneath the main deck of an aircraft
